INCITE, a new band fronted by Max's son, Richie Cavalera, released their debut album, The Slaughter today (in the US - Nov 2 worldwide).

We don't normally promote non-Roadrunner bands, but this time, it's family. INCITE can be best described as devastatingly heavy - not unlike the bands they were bred from...Sepultura, Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy.

ROADRUNNER UNITED: THE DAGGER!

ANNIHILATOR: BMOUTH PREMIERES NEW RR UNITED CLIP

Blabbermouth.net today premiered the second of over two dozen clips coming ahead of the Roadrunner United Concert DVD release. Read the full story and watch the video here. Interviews with Corey Taylor, Joey Jordison, Killswitch Engage, Andreas Kisser, James Murphy, and Jeff Waters are intercut with footage of the "Allison Hell" performance.

The Roadrunner United Concert DVD is in stores December 9th, 2008.

NEW SITE CHANGES!

You may have noticed that over the past few months quiet changes have been made to the site. First we gave you new artist pages. Check out your favorite and you'll find widgets, videos, music, and much more. Plus they look great.

A few weeks back we also updated our Artists page. You'll see highlighted artists up top in blue. These change as artists are updated with news, video, and music. This is a great page to make your first port-of-call after the news section!

Today we've relaunched three other pages. Music and Video are all new. You can now embed all of our music and video posted to the site in your blog, web site, or MySpace/Facebook profiles. At the right of these pages you'll see charts driven by what YOU do on our site. You can also leave comments at all songs and videos, rate them, and favorite them in our new profile system (more on that in a sec).

The Releases page has gotten a huge makeover. Every album now has its own home page where you can see the available tracks, rate it, leave a review, or comment on others' reviews. Snazzy huh?

Finally, we just launched our new profile pages. If you're a subscriber to our email newsletters, you can log in, add your own picture, keep track of the latest updates on our site (and partner sites), follow your favorite videos and music, and tell us what bands you want to hear about.

Of course, many of these new features require that you be a member of the site to use them, so please join today!

We are, of course, in a beta phase and need your help to make the site work the best for YOU. See What Soulfly Members Are Doing While On A Break From Touring

Although Soulfly is back from Australia and is taking their first break from touring in support of Dark Ages since its release in the fall of 2005, the band still does not know the meaning of rest. To begin with, Marc Rizzo will be in the current Holiday 2006 issue of Guitar One magazine. Not only will he be featured in a 4 page interview, but he'll be giving a special flamenco guitar lesson including an instructional DVD, so make sure to pick it up at newstands or go to GuitarOneMag.com!

Also, Marc's keeping his MySpace page up-to-date with tons of his latest videos and audio, but if you head over there now you might find something particularily interesting. LISTEN to Marc shred on a stellar acoustic version of the song "Frontlines"!

For those wondering about the whereabouts of Max Cavalera, we think you'd know what to expect. A man who's meaning of life is his music can never truly rest...even in the bitter Russian cold.

That's right! Those of you who are in or are planning to be in Moscow on January 11th with be in for a special treat. Max will be making a special guest appearance with Paul Filipenko of the popular Russian group, FAQ. Be there or be (Red) square!

Blabbermouth.net reports that a photo of brothers and former Sepultura bandmates Max and Igor Cavalera - who reunited for the first time in 10 years at the 10th annual D-Low Memorial Festival on August 17, 2006 at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ - has been posted online at SoulflyWeb.com. As previously reported, Igor came out and joined headliners Soulfly for renditions of the Sepultura classics "Attitude" and "Roots Bloody Roots".

As reported by our sister site Blabbermouth.net, brothers and former Sepultura bandmates Max (guitar, vocals) and Igor Cavalera (drums) were reunited for the first time in 10 years at the 10th annual D-Low Memorial Festival in Tempe, AZ. Other guest musicians at the show included former Megadeth/current F5 bassist David Ellefson, ex-Soulfly/current Stone Sour drummer Roy Mayorga (who played on "No Hope = No Fear") and Max's stepson Richie Cavalera (Incite, on "Bleed" and "Stay Strong"). Will Ferrell's NASCAR spoof Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - which debuted at number one in the U.S. this past weekend with an estimated 47 million dollars in ticket sales - includes two Sepultura classics, "Desperate Cry" and "Inner Self". The songs play one after the other (without a break so they sound like one song) in a scene where Ricky Bobby (Will Farrell) and his arch nemesis, a French NASCAR driver, race one-on-one in their final showdown at Talladega. The Sepultura classics, "Desperate Cry" and "Inner Self" will also be featured on the upcoming Roadrunner compilation, The Best Of Sepultura, which hits stores on September 12th.
