We are very excited to see "Soulcreek" hit the airwaves in the next month! From the beginning, this song has had a great vibe and attitude that we’ve always tried to carry in our music. It’s a fun, up-beat, sing a long song that just feels good and hopefully will make you wanna dance and make some romance! It’s a great live song, and being a live band, that goes a log way with us. We hope everyone out there will dig it and request the hell out of it when it hits the radio! New York, NY: In conjunction with the launch of their next single, “Things My Father Said” from their second album Folklore & Superstition, Southern rockers Black Stone Cherry have launched a uniquely touching way for fans around the world to celebrate their own fathers. The band called on fans to submit photos of their dads for the song’s video, and are now expanding the concept. With this widget promotion, fans can upload up to four of their own photos and add a personalized greeting before sending the video digitally to their loved ones. “Things My Father Said” will be impacting Rock Radio in mid-July.

Hello everyone! We are so extremely pleased to bring you all this video for "Things My Father Said"! Like we've said before, this is not just another run of the mill music video for us. This is a true example of how much family and friends means to not only us band guys, but to everyone around the world. When it came time to make this video, we told the director (Andrew Bennett) that this song was very important to us and we wanted NO outside influence or Hollywood theatrics. We wanted raw emotion and feeling..we wanted normal. He was very understanding and respected our wishes, and as you will see did a terrefic job making it everything it needed to be. But while any director or band would love to take credit for this video, it was YOU that made it magical! Our deep thanks and utmost respect goes out to our family, friends, and fans who showed and submitted their photos for this video. The song speaks for itself, but coupled with the faces of real people showing their appreciaition and honor for their lost loved ones is something truly out of this world and heartwarming. We will probably never make a more real and emotionally powerful video as this and we're okay with that. We've done it this time and once is all we could ask for. So without furthur rambling, we again thank each and every person that had a helping hand in making this video possible as it means so much to us. We hope this song and video will enter the hearts of people all over the world and help them in any way possible. After all, that's what we wrote it for! Greetings to all ouf our BSC family and friends all over the world!! This message is to you, from the band. We are about to embark on making a music video for our next single in Europe, "Things My Father Said". This song means A LOT to our band and we understand that is has also touched people's hearts across the globe as well. This is a special song that since day 1 we've handled with extreme care, as it is a very emotional subject. However, while this song is extremely emotional, it is also uplifting and inspirational and we hope people who have lost a loved one will find peace within and for those of you that still have their loved ones will appreciate their time with them now.
Because this video has not only been an important song to Black Stone Cherry, we want to include YOU in this video as well.
We would like to ask anyone who has unfortunately lost their Father to send a scanned photo of themselves holding a photo of their Father as well as a high resolution copy of the original photo. Feel free to look how you feel in the photo as well. You can smile, cry, have a plain expression..however you feel is what we want. True emotion. Not planned or contrived. If you could send us this photo ASAP (as we are shooting the video in a little over a week) to the e-mail address below and include your name, your Father's name, and your place of origin, we would be honored to use it in our new video. Please understand that we will not be able to use EVERY photo, but will certainly try to include each and every one we can.
We want this video to be a tribute to not only people's Father's around the world, but everyone's families. Life goes by too short, and you need to say what you feel while the oppurtunity is here. This video is not Hollywood, it's not scripted. It will be REAL emotion, REAL love, REAL feeling, and REAL inspiration.
