NEW SITE CHANGES!

You may have noticed that over the past few months quiet changes have been made to the site. First we gave you new artist pages. Check out your favorite and you'll find widgets, videos, music, and much more. Plus they look great.

A few weeks back we also updated our Artists page. You'll see highlighted artists up top in blue. These change as artists are updated with news, video, and music. This is a great page to make your first port-of-call after the news section!

Today we've relaunched three other pages. Music and Video are all new. You can now embed all of our music and video posted to the site in your blog, web site, or MySpace/Facebook profiles. At the right of these pages you'll see charts driven by what YOU do on our site. You can also leave comments at all songs and videos, rate them, and favorite them in our new profile system (more on that in a sec).

The Releases page has gotten a huge makeover. Every album now has its own home page where you can see the available tracks, rate it, leave a review, or comment on others' reviews. Snazzy huh?

Finally, we just launched our new profile pages. If you're a subscriber to our email newsletters, you can log in, add your own picture, keep track of the latest updates on our site (and partner sites), follow your favorite videos and music, and tell us what bands you want to hear about.

Of course, many of these new features require that you be a member of the site to use them, so please join today!

We are, of course, in a beta phase and need your help to make the site work the best for YOU. If you see any problems or want to suggest changes to the new features, please send an email to webmaster@roadrunnerrecords.com with "NEW SITE REPORT" in the subject line. If you receive an error, please be as detailed as possible, including what page you were on, what browser you are using, and copy any error message you receive into the body of the email.

Cinemax Tour Stories recently conducted an interview with The Cult vocalist Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy about how the radio business really works today and life on the road. THE CULT REVEALS NEW ALBUM COVER

The Cult has unveiled their new album cover in a splash page on their official site, www.thecult.us. The album, Born Into This, will be released in the U.S. on October 2nd. Expect the first single, "Dirty Little Rockstar," on your radio dial this August.

BORN INTO THIS

As reported last week, Roadrunner has signed The Cult, and we can now announce that the multi-platinum band's forthcoming CD - their first new studio album since 2001 - will be titled Born Into This.

Born Into This is currently being recorded in London with producer Youth (Verve, Primal Scream), and will be released in conjunction with The Cult's imprint label, New Wilderness, this September.

In the meantime, The Cult, led by founding members vocalist Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy, will embark on a series of European arena shows with rock legends The Who starting June 5th. The band will be adding headline dates and festival appearances along the route, building on the overwhelming reaction to their 2006 sell-out world tour. A U.S. headline tour will follow in the fall.

ROADRUNNER JOINS THE CULT

Roadrunner Records announces the signing of multi-platinum artist The Cult, the influential UK group who have built an extensive global fan base with hits such as "She Sells Sanctuary," "Rain," "Wild Flower," "Love Removal Machine," "Edie (Ciao Baby)," "The Witch" and "Rise." A new studio album, the first since 2001, is currently being recorded in London with producer Youth (Verve, Primal Scream), who will be adding final touches and mixing. The expected release date for the yet untitled album is September 25, 2007 and will be released in conjunction with The Cult's imprint label, New Wilderness.

The Cult, led by founding members vocalist Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy, will embark on a series of European arena shows with rock legends The Who starting June 5th. The band will be adding headline dates and festival appearances along the route, building on the overwhelming reaction to their 2006 sell-out world tour. "We have always dreamed of finding a label that allows us artistic freedom and has the muscle to get the music to the people," comments Astbury. "At the heart of this recording is an urban directness of savage rawness and an earnestness that is the center of any great rock and roll band."
