MORE RR UNITED CLIPS COMING OCTOBER 27TH

This Monday you'll be treated to two more exclusive clips from the Roadrunner United Concert DVD, out December 9th, 2008.

First up at The Gauntlet is a great three minute clip featuring Brian Fair, Corey Taylor, Dino, Robb Flynn, Joey Jordison, Travis Smith, and Killswitch Engage. This one's fantastic because you see Brian incredibly drunk attempting to stage dive, and a whole lotta discussion about favorite Max Cavalera music.

Over at Decibel you'll see a rad clip of Glen Benton and Corey Taylor. Glen...well, Glen had this costume, you see...and Corey goes into some of his personal history enjoying Deicide.

Check out all the clips released so far, and visit often to see when new ones are added, at this location.

ROADRUNNER UNITED: SURFACING

We know all you Roadrunner fans are stoked about the upcoming DVD release for the Roadrunner United Concert, and so are we. We're rolling out over 25 clips over the next few weeks featuring interviews and some live performances.

The first clip of the series premiered on Blabbermouth.net and is now loaded up at our site. It features Corey Taylor, Robb Flynn, surprise guests, and some footage of Robb performing Slipknot's "Surfacing." Watch it, rate it, comment on it at the Surfacing home page.

ANNIHILATOR: BMOUTH PREMIERES NEW RR UNITED CLIP

Blabbermouth.net today premiered the second of over two dozen clips coming ahead of the Roadrunner United Concert DVD release. Read the full story and watch the video here. Interviews with Corey Taylor, Joey Jordison, Killswitch Engage, Andreas Kisser, James Murphy, and Jeff Waters are intercut with footage of the "Allison Hell" performance.

The Roadrunner United Concert DVD is in stores December 9th, 2008.

BLABBERMOUTH PREMIERES ROADRUNNER UNITED

Blabbermouth.net today premieres the first in a series of over 25 clips from the upcoming Roadrunner United concert DVD (out December 9th). Take a look at it here.

The clip features Robb Flynn, Corey Taylor, Roy Mayorga, and Joey Jordison talking about performing the song "Surfacing." Stay tuned for another clip in a couple of days, and every couple of days thereafter across the net!

NEW SITE CHANGES!

You may have noticed that over the past few months quiet changes have been made to the site. First we gave you new artist pages. Check out your favorite and you'll find widgets, videos, music, and much more. Plus they look great.

A few weeks back we also updated our Artists page. You'll see highlighted artists up top in blue. These change as artists are updated with news, video, and music. This is a great page to make your first port-of-call after the news section!

Today we've relaunched three other pages. Music and Video are all new. You can now embed all of our music and video posted to the site in your blog, web site, or MySpace/Facebook profiles. At the right of these pages you'll see charts driven by what YOU do on our site. You can also leave comments at all songs and videos, rate them, and favorite them in our new profile system (more on that in a sec).

The Releases page has gotten a huge makeover. Every album now has its own home page where you can see the available tracks, rate it, leave a review, or comment on others' reviews. Snazzy huh?

Finally, we just launched our new profile pages. If you're a subscriber to our email newsletters, you can log in, add your own picture, keep track of the latest updates on our site (and partner sites), follow your favorite videos and music, and tell us what bands you want to hear about.

Of course, many of these new features require that you be a member of the site to use them, so please join today!

COREY TAYLOR SINGS CLASSICS IN HOLLYWOOD!

Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor joined Steel Panther (formerly Metal Skool) on stage Monday night at the Key Club in Hollywood, CA for a rendition of Judas Priests' "You've Got Another Thing Comin" with Scott Ian (Anthrax) on guitar. After a couple shots of Jack Daniels, Corey was ready for some Poison. He was joined on bass by Black Presidents and Unwritten Law bassist, Pat "PK" Kim for "Nothin' But a Good Time." STONE SOUR - JOSH RAND SIGNATURE GUITAR!

Peavey proudly introduces the new JR™ Special electric guitar, an exclusive Peavey Custom Shop signature model co-designed by guitarist Josh Rand from Stone Sour. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the JR Special will benefit wounded U.S. soldiers via the Wounded Warrior Project.

A flattop, basswood electric guitar based on the award-winning Peavey HP^TM Special, the new JR Special is outfitted with a DiMarzio® PAF Joe humbucking pickup in the neck position and a DiMarzio® X2N humbucker in the bridge position, with the patented Peavey Dual Compression^TM tailpiece and a bolt-on maple neck. Even more striking, however, is the unique artwork: the new official U.S. Army digiflage camouflage pattern with a satin finish, applied using the patented ArtGuitar® printing process and the Custom Graphics portal at www.peaveycustomshop.com.

"When I heard about what Peavey was doing with their new Custom Shop, I asked them to send me a couple of HP Specials, a flat top and a carved top," said Rand. "They sounded great and felt great, and the construction was awesome. My tech and I were impressed, and I started discussing doing a signature model with Peavey.

"My signature JR Special is the first model to have a reversed headstock, and its neck dimensions are customized to what is most comfortable for me. I also had it wired for two volume controls, one for the front and one for the back, with a 3-way pickup switch."

The inspiration for the guitar's digiflage graphics as well as the charitable initiative came late one night on the Come What(ever) May world tour while Rand winded down from a Stone Sour gig. "It was one o'clock in the morning and a program came on about a soldier who lost both legs from a grenade," he said. "It made me think about how some soldiers who go to war come back changed forever. Simple things that we take for granted are quite a task for someone in that position.

"I thought it would be cool to give up part of the profit from my guitar to these guys, and it came together quickly after that, like it was meant to be. So now we're going to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project." The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is to raise public awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members to aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.

The Peavey JR Special guitar will be available from the Peavey Custom Shop in 2008.

ROY MAYORGA SPILLS THE BEANS

Roadrunner Italy recently video-taped a candid interview with Stone Sour drummer Roy Mayorga. The band was in Venice at the time, performing at the Heineken Jammin' Festival, and you can now watch it HERE.

Stone Sour just came off the road in the U.S., after concluding yet another successful tour leg in support of their GOLD-selling CD, Come What(ever) May, now also available in a specia edition featuring 6 bonus tracks, 4 music videos, and a complete concert filmed in Moscow.

A new single from said album, the evocative "Zzyzx Rd.," will be worked at radio this fall (preview it HERE), after which vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarist James Root will turn their attentions to recording the next Slipknot album, with a release date penciled in for late 2008.
